Backstreet Boys New Album, Straight Through My Heart Video

The vampire fixation continues and this time it has to do with the Backstreet Boys comeback.

Welcome to Clevver TV, I'm Dana Ward with the Backstreet Boys album preview.

Just like the rest of Hollywood, these guys also have jumped on the vampire bandwagon, most notably with the group's newest song. It's called Straight Through My Heart. In normal Backstreet Boys fashion, the music video is an extended version that tells a story... starting off the visuals with some text explaining Day Walkers and reminding us that sometimes those protectors of the innocent are the ones who become the hunted. Yeah, it seems like a pretty serious set-up but the rest of the vid is light and fun, showcasing the 4-Backstreet Boys taking center-stage at a dark nightclub. Of course, there's a sultry female vampire seeking her next victim... until our heroes step in and do some dirty work.

Straight Through My Heart is just one single from the This Is Us LP. According to the Boys, while the October 6th released album is edgy and current, it also showcases a return to their early days, when R-and-B ballads and dance songs dominated their track list. In fact, this round - which is the most recent since 2007's Unbreakable - the Backstreet Boys has a full A-team signed-on, including producing and writing from Ne-Yo, Pitbull, T-Pain, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, RedOne and Jim Johnson.

Some other songs on the reported 11-track disc include Bigger, Bye Bye Love, PDA, Masquerade, Shattered and more. The Boys are also working on a world-tour that will include the new tracks, but also some old faves including Get Down and We Got It Going On.

Like I said, This Is Us hits stores on October 6th and I want to hear what you're thinking about this new album. Will you run out and buy it immediately OR are you gonna hold out for the rest of eternity? And what's with this whole vampire theme - are you sick and tired of it or are you still totally lovin it?
