My friend spoke the truth on Friday when she texted, "I can't believe my children will live in a world without Michael Jackson." Clearly, she is a big fan.
Michael Jackson died Thursday and already with the coverage of his death, you can't tell what he will be remembered for more - his musical legacy or his odd lifestyle choices
.
The write up in AMNY had the last few paragraphs focused on his legal troubles, but they also had a sidebar highlighting his career.
The man has to be paid respect for the contributions he made to the music industry. Who since Michael Jackson has changed the face of pop music so drastically and made such a lasting worldwide impact? Other acts may resurface from time to time for a comeback tour, hey Backstreet Boys, but it is hard to match the excitement that Michael's reunion tours ellicited in his fans.
Time will tell more about whatever truths there were to the rumors and what happened behind closed doors...you know everyone will be coming out of the woodwork with their tell-all books now.
I think the whispers should just die down out of respect for his grieving friends and family. His children are innocent in all of this and should remain out of whatever circus happens with his estate and debt.
As of today, the children will reside with Katherine and Joe Jackson, as they do now have a relationship with Debbie Rowe.
I think everyones hearts should go out to the family of MIchael, as well as his saddened fans
