“Backstreet’s Back“ and they’re planning another comeback with a new single and album

Backstreet’s back! Or were they ever gone? The last boy band of the Nineties, the Backstreet Boys, are trying for another shot at comeback fame with their new single called “Straight Through My Heart (Soldier Down).”

Perez Hilton has uploaded the new track on hiswebsite.

The dance-pop track is the first single from their upcoming album, entitled “This is Us.” The song features productions from RedOne, who also produced Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” and “Poker Face.”

The single is set to hit radio waves next month. The album is going to be released on October 6th with production works from Ne-Yo, Max Martin, and Ryan Tedder. The group will start a European tour to promote the new album on October 30th in Lisbon, Portugal, which will run until December 6th in Copenhagen.

Nick Carter, who has battled drug addition and alcoholism, told WENN, “We’re here to stay – we want to be as big as the Rolling Stones.”
